Transfer a browser game save to another device

Use a game-supported export or cloud account, test the import on the destination and keep the original until progress is verified.

Find the game’s supported mechanism

Look in the game’s settings for Export, Backup, Import or cloud-save instructions. Different games store progress in incompatible formats, and a browser does not provide a universal game-save file. A local save belonging to one origin cannot simply be loaded by an unrelated site. Use the same official game and verify the publisher’s instructions before moving data.

Export and label a copy

Create an export while the original game still shows the correct progress. Save a dated copy outside temporary browser storage. Do not rename its extension or edit the contents unless the publisher documents that step. A save can include account-related information, so avoid posting it publicly. If cloud sync is used, confirm the sync finished before opening a fresh session on another device.

Test the destination without deleting the source

Open the matching game version on the destination device and use its documented import function. Check level progress, inventory, settings and unlocks, then reload to make sure the imported state persists. Keep the source device unchanged until the destination passes those checks. If the new version rejects an old format, ask the publisher about migration rather than trying random converters.

Handle conflicts deliberately

A newer timestamp does not necessarily mean a cloud save contains more progress. Read conflict prompts carefully and keep a backup of both versions when the game permits it. Private browsing and cleared site storage can remove an imported local save. Browser profile copying is not a portable guarantee across operating systems and versions. A successful transfer ends with a verified reload and a retained backup, not merely an accepted file-selection dialogue.
