Click speed test: a repeatable five-second CPS check

Measure clicks per second locally, compare attempts on the same device and understand why the result is not a ranking of gaming ability.

Try a short session

Use the same setup for each attempt

CPS means clicks per second. This test starts when you activate Start, counts clicks on the large target for five seconds and divides the count by five. It runs in the browser without a server or account. The first click on Start is not included. Use the same mouse or trackpad, hand position and duration when comparing your own attempts.

Separate input method from skill

A touch screen, trackpad and mouse can produce different results. Keyboard activation is available for accessibility but should not be compared as a mouse-click result. The browser also sees input events rather than your hand movement. Automated clicks or hardware macros change what is being measured. This page has no leaderboard and does not certify that input came from a human.

Read the result in context

A five-second sample measures a short burst, not sustained performance or accuracy in a game. Try a few comfortable attempts with breaks rather than forcing a higher number. Stop if your hand hurts. Compare the actual count and elapsed test duration, not just a rounded CPS figure. Browser load, a hidden tab or device interruptions can affect the run; switching away cancels the test.

Keep a useful practice record

Record device, input method and score if you want to compare another day. Change one variable at a time. A higher CPS does not automatically improve aiming, decision-making or game mechanics that limit repeated actions. For pointer accuracy, use the separate target practice page, which measures hits and misses rather than rewarding clicks anywhere on a large area.
