How to play
Slide the numbered tiles across a four-by-four board. When two equal tiles meet, they merge into one tile with twice the value. Each successful move adds a new tile, so space becomes as important as the score.
- Move the whole board with arrow keys, WASD, a swipe, or the direction buttons.
- Each tile merges once per move. Four 2 tiles become two 4 tiles, not one 8.
- Reach 2048, then keep playing if moves remain. A full board only ends the game when no neighboring tiles can merge.
A useful strategy
Keep your largest tiles close to a corner and avoid moves that break their order. It is a strategy to experiment with, not a guaranteed way to win.
What to expect
This is a locally played version of the 2048 concept with our own implementation. Progress resets on refresh. It has no leaderboard or cash prizes.
